Your Mind is a Pearl...treat it as such!

Dr. Mary Archibald
PhD, LMHC, CAGCS
1.
Individual
Psychotherapy
Individual counseling (sometimes called psychotherapy, talk therapy, or treatment) is a process through which clients work one-on-one with a trained mental health clinician in a safe, caring, and confidential environment. I work with each client to identify goals and treatment needs.
2.
Couples
Therapy
Couples therapy attempts to improve romantic relationships and resolve interpersonal conflicts. This type of relationship growth process emphasizes rebuilding the couple's emotional connection before moving into creating behavioral change. Speaking broadly and generally, this model takes an average of 14-18 sessions to produce desired results. An initial communications assessment will determine the best apporach and duration of a couples plan.
3.
Divorce Mediator
Considering Divorce?
At your consultation with Mary, she will explain the collaborative process to you. "Together, you can decide if that process is right for you. Court Ordered mediation may change factors of participation. She is happy to guide you through other options. I seek to help families resolve disputes without resorting to litigation. The process allows separating spouses to address assets, joint partenting plans, modify child support or timesharing in a spirit of cooperation and mutual respect, rather than combatively."
4.
Family
Therapy
Family therapy is a type of psychological counseling (psychotherapy) that can help family members improve communication and resolve conflicts. I offer inital assessments to determine a workable treatment plan for the family unit, interventions for individuals of the family unit as needed, and goal planning. As a certified Conflict Resolutions Specialist, I am skilled in communication deficit assessments and identifying lack of individuality.
My Approach
Humanistic approach to therapeutic intervention. I use various interventions to help clients to focus on changing problematic behaviors, feelings, and thoughts by discovering their unconscious meanings and motivations. Psychoanalytically oriented therapies are characterized by a close working partnership between therapist and patient. Patients learn about themselves by exploring their interactions in the therapeutic relationship. I work to foster healing and spirituality as clients desire.
